The short version

Klippr is a chronological social platform. You post short klips, they appear to your followers newest first, and no algorithm reorders them. Be decent to other people, own what you post, and we will do the same.

Your account

You need an account to post, and you must be at least 13 years old to have one. You are responsible for what happens under your account, including keeping your sign-in secure. Handles are claimed on a first-come basis, and we may reclaim handles that impersonate someone, sit unused, or are reserved for Klippr itself.

What you post

You keep ownership of your klips. By posting, you give Klippr a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, display, and distribute that content so the service can work, including showing your klips on public pages and in shared previews. That licence ends when you delete the content, except for copies already shared by other people or retained in backups for a reasonable period.

Do not post content that is illegal, that harasses or threatens someone, that sexualises minors, that infringes someone else's rights, that impersonates a real person or organisation, or that exists mainly to spam. We may remove content and suspend accounts that break these rules.

Accounts we operate

Klippr operates a number of topic accounts itself, and we use AI to help draft what they post. Nothing is published from those accounts automatically: a person at Klippr reviews and approves every klip before it goes out. We do not allow other people to run automated accounts on Klippr.

Links and shortening

Links you post are automatically shortened through kreatr.us so their clicks can be counted. Klippr does not control the destinations people link to, and a link appearing on Klippr is not an endorsement of it.

Your Kreatr account

Signing up for Klippr creates a free Kreatr account tied to the same email so your links can be tracked. Kreatr is a separate product with its own terms. You can use Klippr without ever opening it.

Reports and moderation

Anyone can report a klip. We review reports and may remove content, restrict features, or suspend accounts. We try to be consistent and proportionate, and we will not always get it right.

Ending things

You can stop using Klippr at any time. We may suspend or close an account that repeatedly breaks these terms, or if we have to in order to comply with the law.

The legal necessities

Klippr is provided as-is, without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the service. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

We may update these terms. If a change is material we will say so on the site before it takes effect.
