My Gen 2 Meta Ray Bans are cooked😢 It's crazy how it all happened. There's a happy ending to this... I think 🤔

I was dropping stuff off at Goodwill one day. While in the trunk, my glasses just started SPAZZING!! Taking pictures, started recording a video, then stopped. So I switched them off

The Goodwill employee was like "are those the Meta glasses?". I told him yeah and assured him they were not recording. I switched them on to show how they work...

All I was getting was the red light 🛑 So I wrap up our convo and decide to just wait until I get home to look into this more.

I get home... they're still acting up so I decide to file a claim with Ray-Ban. If you didn't know, Meta glasses have a 1-year warranty.

A few days later, I get the news that my glasses are covered under warranty. Great news, right? They don't have my current pair so I'll need to choose an alternative. Cool. That's not the point.

I haven't chosen my replacement yet and decide to take the defective ones out of the case. They're still a good looking pair of shades. I open them up and the connect 🤯 like nothing was ever wrong. Are they fixed?

NO! They did not magically fix themselves. I wore them all day no issues. I started recording some videos and got a few good recordings. Then later that night, my Metas went CRAZY 🤪

They started taking random photos and recording videos again. This time I let it play out. I even tried to push through and finish some recordings but they are fried like rice at this point.

Good news, I'll get a new pair. Bad news is... Perfectly good looking pair of Meta Ray Bans will now just be my at-home Blue Light glasses that can play music and other stuff. What has been your experience with Metas?
